Susana Stewart Response Paper INTRODUCTION The question of God’s existence has been challenged by many philosophers and non-philosophers alike. Arguments that have been used to support the existence of a divine being includes the cosmological argument and the theological argument. However there are some who oppose these arguments and philosopher H.J. McCloskey is among this group. In the article â€Å"On Being an Atheist† written by H.J. McCloskey, he argues that both these arguments are false and insufficient as it relates to â€Å"proof† of God’s existence. McCloskey believes that without proper proof, we must completely dismiss the idea of God’s existence. In his well-written article he offers a few reasons why he believes that atheism is a much more comfortable belief verses a belief in a God who allows the suffering of his people. He suggested that the problem of evil and the fact that evil exist, means that God could not exist. McCloskey urges that people should just help each other ra ther than placing their faith in a God that is clearly imperfect due to the imperfect world that he has created. Credible as McCloskey may be, I saw many errors in his theory. It is my opinion that his attempt to define God is completely unsound and his philosophy is at best debatable. In this response paper I will be carefully examining each argument and also presenting a counter argument. Mt. Lemmon Free Essays

Mt. Lemmon towers 9000 feet above sea level starting at the foot of the Catalina Mountains in Tucson, Arizona. However, some related factors in the form of boulders and contour variations may have trapped the water in the upper part, making the base areas dry and scarce with water. This causes the bottom landscape to have a desert ecosystem. The Aspen fire in 2003 may be seen as a factor in changing the vegetation of the mountain. A good number of remaining trees may not be able to support the watershed in a certain time segment since many trees and animals have died of the fire. However, the burned forest materials will serve as elements to further nourish the soil. This will eventually give better vegetation conditions for other plants and animals in the future. I have undertaken the Big Five personality test and the result came with defining personality. Open-mindedness: Open-mindedness is about open with new experiences in every situation in life. Having open-minded means to be creative, original and curious about complex ideas make a person open-minded (Kluemper, 2015). However, low score means to be conventional about everything. I scored low in open-mindedness as it shows that I am down-to-earth and not very creative. My percentile in this sphere is 53 that show that I need to develop the open-mindedness and broadening my interest in every unexplored sphere. I want to be in management sector in future that means I need to explore many sides of team building quality. Team management is not easy as it is dealt with various spheres of individuals. In recent time, business competition is huge and organisation is trying to meet the customers expectation and it has been critical to building a team within an organisation with the multidisciplinary concept (De Jong, 2016). Teamwork means trust, success and leadership; however, I need to have the skills i n team working with broadening my mind and exploring different traits of human personality with motivating them. I scored 83 in this section and that shows I am organized in some of my spheres and dependable in work. Scoring high in conscientiousness can mean that the person is reliable, organized, careful and self-disciplined (Judge, 2015). This percentage brings the significance that I tend to do the work not haphazardly but rationally. From the childhood, I have had this personality of doing things thinking rationally. I need to build a personality in managing the team in an organisation where I can take decision calmly and reliable way. Moreover, in managing the team, I would like to prepare and engage the team members in engaging debates with new ideas. I need to understand the team issues well before taking any decision. Managing human resources and organizational culture needs accurate decision-making ability of human beings. Extraversion: Extraversion score high that means a person is friendly, sociable, talkative and fun loving. Scoring low in this section means the person is quiet, reserved, inhibited and introvert. I scored 98 in this section and it shows that I am an extrovert person with excellent communication. I love to communicate people with outgoing mentality. Open-mindedness quality is very important for a leader and it helps the team leader to explore new things in organisation and team. I as a leader in future will seek new experiences in every aspect of management and team leading. I will try to engage my team members to have plans to check their developments in completing the project and guide them accordingly. I can arrange meetings for the planning and progress. Conclusion Big five personality traits are important in understanding the components in personality to drive the team members' behaviour. Big five personality test provides the informational data about oneself that would analyse the management and work within an organizational setting. Giver In this book, the Giver, an old man gives all the memories of a world such as ours to a boy named Jonah. In this world there is no color, love, or twins, and the babies and children are bred by special people who have the job of birthmother. They then are adopted away. Everybody in the town has a special but awkward job. The giver tells Jonah of a place such as our normal world. After Jonah learns of the world before, he becomes anxious to escape and discover if their is a color outside world in which there is love, and normal families. The more visions that Jonah receives, the more painful they become. He also begins to become more and more anxious about discovering what is beyond his dull and controlled town. He also soon begins to have strange dreams of bathing one of his "girl" friends naked, in a bathtub. His parents then tell them to take certain pills to prevent these dreams, he does not because of his anxiety to find out what else there is in the world. The giver later tells Jonah how Jonah's and his own dinner, breakfast, and everything else that they do is monitored and controlled. The Giver later gives Jonah his consent to escape their town to go search for a normal and happier world. Jonah kidnaps his baby brother who's twin gets killed by Jonah's dad. Him and the baby escape out the town into a normal world at the end of the book. The rest of the book, is about the visions that Jonah has, and explains how the "Giver," is the keeper of memories from the village from hundreds of years ago. The ending of the book is somewhat uncertain, since you don't know if Jonah makes it out of a desert into a new, better world, or if the whole thing is a mirage, to Jonah.

Also note that many organisations have specific selection criterion to be addressed when applying for a position, depending on the institution (e.g. state or private) and the job description. Education in contemporary American society is one aspect in the process of socialization in which people learn how to act correctly in society and learn specific behaviors needed to be able to function in today’s society. In the United States schools teach what it means to be American and the traits that go along with it. For example children are taught the English language, learn the common heritage shared by all Americans, and are reiterated the basics of society. The education system also attempts to give children from different cultural backgrounds the same Anglo education. The education system also acts as an intergrator of the lower class children into the mainstream of the rest of the children. Also the education system acts as a type of screening process by finding which students are best suited for certain jobs. The education system by issuing diplomas, degrees, and other credentials, determines which student will have access to the more financially gratifying positi ons in society. In a way schools also prepare children for day-to-day work by going through the same routines everyday. The system of grades parallels the wage system in society as well.
